Danish folklore concert and travelling proverb exhibition draw crowds

A concert titled 'Danish Fairy Tales for String Quartet' transported Shumen's audience into Nordic legend with characteristic folk and contemporary melodies. Four Bulgarian musicians performed at the Dobri Voynikov community centre.

The evening was complemented by a travelling exhibition exploring Danish wisdom through proverbs, drawing parallels between Bulgarian and Danish thought. The project, staged in partnership with the Danish Embassy in Bulgaria, marks 95 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

'There are proverbs that are very different in the exhibition, but there are also those where the audience finds Bulgarian analogues with pleasure,' said creative director Krastina Dencheva.
