Football in Kaspichan, school robotics, and a commemoration

Four short dispatches from Shumen oblast: Malniya claim a close win in local football, Razgrad pupils take honours in a robotics competition, theatre awards go to 'Puknatini', and Kaolinovo marks the victims of the Revival Process. Separately, no obvious British-expat through-line, but typical for a regional round-up.

Kaolinovo commemorates victims of the Revival Process

Local and regional DPS officials, including deputy party chair and Kaolinovo mayor Nida Ahmedov, laid wreaths today at memorial plaques in the Kus neighbourhood and the villages of Kliment, Todor Ikonomovo, and Pristoe. The plaques honour those who died during the 1980s Revival Process, when Bulgaria's communist authorities forcibly changed the names of ethnic Turks. Muslim clergy performed a commemorative prayer (dua) for those who suffered repression during the peaceful protests against the policy.
