Police foil Sofia property fraud using pregnant woman

The Ministry of Interior has prevented an attempted property fraud in which a 21-year-old pregnant woman was used as a front. Officers stopped her as she was about to lodge a forged will for a Sofia house whose owner died more than 13 years ago. The will, certificate of heirs and supporting documents were all fake. The woman was accompanied by her common-law husband, 29, and his father, both known to police for involvement in previous property scams. Documents relating to other deceased persons were found in their car. Prosecutors placed the woman under a 'signed undertaking' measure, and the investigation continues under the supervision of Sofia District Prosecutor's Office.
